  • Hi. I just installed your RSS Feeder plugin on my WordPress blog but can’t figure out how to customize it to import the feeds I designate. I’m not a programmer or website designer so I’m hoping this is a simple fix. Please let me know at your convenience. Thanks. Have a great day!

  • Hi,
Awesome plug-ins and we’d like to use the RSS Feeder but i’m having alot of trouble with the full content showing up in the post, it’s only doing an exceerpt. I’ve changed the limits, switched on / off all settings and am still having trouble.

Are you able to help out?

    Thanks

I am using your RSS Feeder, when i set up and import it is only importing part of the articles and not the full article. Do you happen to know what i am doing wrong? Articles are being imported into the side bar under Santa Clara Basketball News.

    Thanks

    Eric

  • I am trying to implement “Import feeds into a … post” but I cannot sem to get it setup properly.

I live example would help immensely.

  • I am using RSS Feeder on my self hosted blog and have two questions, firstly when I import an RSS Feed as new posts it always selects uncategiorised. Secondly is it possible for the RSS Imports to be run automatically, for example once a day?

    • sraynham says:

You need to create post categories and ensure that the category you want to import the feed into is selected from the setup screen of the imported feed.
To run the import automatically your host needs to support scheduled jobs (cron) and point it to run http:/yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/rss-feeder/import.php?id=YOUR_FEED_ID for example:

      wget http:/yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/rss-feeder/import.php?id=2

where the 2 in id=2 should be the index of your import feed as seen in the table.
